Eden Hazard tops the goal scoring chart after Matchday 6
Eden Hazard currently leads the way in the Premier League scoring charts with 6 goals. While he is always a consistent performer every season, I don’t think many people expected him to have quite the start he has had so far this season. If he continues playing like he has been playing and keeps scoring goals, I expect that he’ll get 30+ goals come the end of the season.
Two players that you would expect to be at the top end of the goals at this stage of the season, are at the top of the charts with 5 goals each. The usual suspects of Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane have had a strong start to the season and have helped their teams to strong starts with Aguero helping Man City to a stronger than Spurs with 6 games played.
Last season’s high flyer, the Egyptian Mo Salah isn’t performing to the standards that are expected of his at this stage of the season based on his outstanding form he had last season. However, he still has contributed to Liverpool’s great start providing 3 goals for them.
The surprise package so far this season has got to be Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. He has featured 7 times for the Lilywhites, scoring on 5 occasions. He is part of a high-spending Fulham side featuring the likes of Alfie Mawson, Andre Schurrle and Jean-Michael Seri. I think that he’ll continue this form throughout the rest of the season with the good quality of players he’s got around him.
Who will be top scorer and win the Golden Boot come the end of the season?
