Security officers respond quickly to the crowd surge which left three teen girls injured
The trouble started around 8.10pm as the Gang Signs & Prayer singer whipped the crowd into a frenzy.
Security was heard shouting “shut it down” asStormzy stopped his set and urged the audience to calm down.
Festival organisers yesterday said three people were taken to hospital with fractures and added safety measures will be reviewed in the wake of the incident.
Ellie Wookey wrote online: “I was there at the front with my friends, we had waited for four hours to see Stormzy and we all had to be lifted over the barrier.
“It was one of the scariest moments of my life, people were pulled out having passed out and I saw people with broken bones, it’s really not okay.
“I understand it is difficult to stop those people causing all the problems but that was very very dangerous and I’m very lucky I wasn’t hurt.”
